Jongleurs Comedy is UK’s largest comedy company. We have 15 clubs all over the UK, so there is bound to be one Jongleurs Comedy club near you.
We have two new on the road shows which will be held at the New Wimbledon theatre on 8th September 2009 and The Churchill theatre on 24th September 2009, both shows will start at 7.30pm.
This is the first time that Jongleurs are doing their shows at the two theatres. So if you would like to spend your evening laughing the night away, then this comedy night is for you and your friends to watch stand up comedians delivering their jokes.
Here at Jongleurs we choose the best comedians from the great world of comedy to entertain the audience throughout the show. To give you some information about the comedians who will be performing on both these nights, as you will know they are the best of the best and the public just can’t get enough of them. The line up:
MC: Rich Wilson – Barman turned comedian this man used to work in Greenwich, South London for a comedy club. He was amused by the comics and their comedian sense of humour, whilst working behind the bar Rich became friends with many of the comics and soon found himself on stage winning over the toughest crowds with his witty charming manner. Since then Rich has become a regular at some of the major comedy clubs, including Jongleurs, The Comedy Café and The Big Night Out.
Mike Gunn – is Britain’s number one stand up comedian. The Guardian reported that he will “make you die laughing”. Mike is not your ordinary comedian he describes himself as “not a natural choice for a career in laughter”. But with his funny antics on stage Mike gives the audience what they want, which is laughing uncontrollably until you fall off your seat.
James Sherwood – a comedy writer who has contributed the funnies to radio shows across the BBC. This summer Sherwood plans to take his third show ‘Songs of music’, whilst travelling around with his keyboard he uses his original comic songs to entertain the crowd. His comic songs have been a huge hit where he has the audience literally crying with laughter.
Colin Cole – An Australian comic now based in Britain, he may not be the biggest hit yet in the UK but in Australia he is the biggest names in comedy by far. The Australians love him and his punch lines send you on a rollercoaster ride laughing all the way.
Wayne Deakin - An Australian comedian who has conducted his solo Melbourne Comedy Festival shows. The audiences love him and his likeable laconic style, Wayne has performed in front of 10,000 people at the 2004 and 2006 Meredith Music Festival and a massive crowd of 14,000 in 2005 at The Falls Festival. Now that’s what you call entertainment!
Paul Tonkinson - A professional comedian who will definitely make you laugh until you can’t laugh anymore. Paul is the host of The Sunday Show and what made him even bigger when he replaced Johnny Vaughan on The Big Breakfast show. He has the tendency to take the mickey out of every region in Britain. His giving the crowd what they want to laugh over.
